Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - Day 9 of Summer Challenge

For those of you new to the blog, I occasionally post recipes that look good and are very healthy.  To get to the actual recipe you can click on the dish name or the picture.  The fact that I have posted it does not necessarily mean that I have tried it and can vouch for it personally, so if you have any comments on the recipe feel free to add them below.

    Snack: sweet potatoe chips
    Lunch: turkey wrap with BBQ chips
    2 pieces of chocolate
    Dinner: spaghetti squash spaghetti salad

  5. B: two kolaches and a Gatorade... And doughnut holes
    L: subway sandwich. Tuna on nine grain honey oat, avocado spread. Cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach, American cheese. Salt and pepper oil and vinegar. With sunchips, and one cup of soda
    Pre work out: shake
    Workout
    S: sausage and 3 avocado slices and a banana.
    D: piece of salmon with avocado.
    Lots of water.

    D-hamburger patties in tomato sauce corn and water

    Grilled chicken, cabbage, boiled cauliflower
    And spoon full of peanut butter I was looking for something sweet

    Lunch: salad with jalepeno ranch, bacon bits, egg, onion, and avacado with a little guacamole. Some watermelon
    Snack: a couple bites of watermelon
    Dinner: paleo fiesta chicken soup
    Snack: fruit smoothie
    Drinks: Gatorade and 4 glasses of water

    d- broiled flounder and broiled egg plant
    S- beef jerky
    THEN::::: a bite of Havyn's fruit and nut bar, a 2 kettle cooked salt and pepper chips

    1. I did run a mile in 10:29. I know horrible, but it was very hot and humid and I could not get my breathing under control.

    L- Meal Replacement Shake
    D- Citrus Pork & Mashed Cauliflower from Well Fed Cookbook, Salad, with onions & tomato & Oil & Vinegar Dressing
    3 spark kind of day
    Almost a gallon of water, not including the Sparks !

    L: sushi and yellow curry with a half cup of white rice
    D: Spaghetti squash with a homemade ground venison based tomato sauce over it.

    Lots of water all day and one 16 oz unsweetened hot tea for breakfast

    S- banana
    L- 4 oz. grilled salmon, 1/4 of small sweet pot., salad w/field greens, cherry tom., olives, avocado, red bell pepper, celery
    S- small handful of mixed raw nuts
    D- small pc. of pan cooked flounder, grilled onions and mushrooms, steamed yellow squash and zucchini, and one steamed green bean

    **Just a note... everything has been, is and will be cooked in coconut oil

    2. coconut oil is always a healthy oil and has a good flavor, but if you are ever looking for something that won't flavor the food and is still pretty healthy, grapeseed oil will work as well. It's also a lot cheaper.

  21. I have used grapeseed oil in the past. Most of the paleo and Whole30 recipes I have familiarized myself with call for the coconut oil. I actually enjoy it. :) But, thanks for the tip!
