Thursday, July 11, 2013 - Day 39 of Summer Challenge

Warm-Up:
- Light Jog
- Joint Mobility (hamstring warm-up)
- 1 Round Standard Warm-Up

Group Warm-Up:
- 2 minutes of hamstring warm-up

Workout 7:
- 800m Run 
(scaled to 1000m row for a few)

Workout 8:
With a partner and one MedBall per team complete the following:

- 100m MedBall Partner Toss (20/14)
- 100 Wall Ball Shots (20/14)
- 100 MedBall Sit-Ups (20/14)
- 100 MedBall Box Jumps or Step-Ups (20/14
- 100m MedBall Partner Toss (20/14)

Only one person working at a time with the other resting and helping to count. Reps may be split up between the teammates however you'd like.

    S- handful of raw nuts, one date, bowl of blueberries and strawberries
    L- salad w/ field greens, radishes, celery, avocado, bell pepper, olives, 2 oz. grilled chicken
    D- rest of the blueberries (sm. handful), 3 oz. sausage, 1/2 sw. pot., couple bites of guac., and 3 very thin slices of Soppressata (Italian salami something or other)

    John, you have been a wonderful coach this last year. Thank you for all the encouragement and dedication that you give to us and our body. You believing in my ability to improve gave me great hope and caused me to try harder and accomplish more. I sincerely thought I would never be able to box jump anything higher than a 12" box, much less do squats properly ...OK, somewhat properly :) You are a gift to Gateway! I so appreciate you and your leadership!!! We are better GTX'ers because of you :)

    Mary, as well, I am so grateful for your coaching, encouragement and insight this past year! You are an incredible woman of God! I am honored to call you friend :) Thank you for sowing into my life and that of my family!! Love you!

    Pastor, you are "Terrific"!!! I appreciate you being my partner in this challenge, you "beauty" (its the tan :)). You have been a great source of encouragement when it felt so bleak. Thank you for all the strategy you put into this challenge. Win or lose, I know we each won!!
