Tuesday, January 8, 2013 - Day 7 of New Year Challenge

Day 7 of the challenge!  You made it through a week of clean(er) eating.  I'm going to review the food logs over the next few days and will make recommendations to some of you.

Be sure to drink lots of water today and mix in a Mobility WOD.  These really will make an enormous difference on your recovery, injury prevention, and overall joint and tissue health.  Here's a recommended one:


Post your food logs and any thoughts you have on the mobility wod's, eating, workouts, etc...

Get lots of rest tonight...tomorrow will be tough.

  2. B: 4 egg whites, with 3oz. of fresh deer sausage with sauteed onion and mushroom
    L: 2.3 oz. Turkey patty, 3 oz. of grilled chicken breast, about 1c. of zucchini and squash
    s: 100 cal pack of walnuts, and a grapefruit
    D: Fresh green leaf lettuce and fresh spinach topped with sauteed onion, mushroom, chicken breast, and chives.

    3c. black coffee
    lots of water

    L-salad with tuna, avacado, boiled egg, olives, and sunflower seed. And lots of water
    D-tilipa corn on the cobb and green beans with tea

  5. B- Smoothie ( same as usual)
    L- 1 chicken/apple sausage, 2 scrambled eggs with spinach and onions.
    D- Roast, baked sweet potatoe, peas and carrots, salad(lettuce, celery, apples, pecans) dressing: 2 squeezed oranges and 1 T. olive oil.
    S- 5 cashews, 5 almonds, 1 medjool date w/ 2 almonds
    Drinks: 70 0z water, 1 glass sparkling water with cranberry juice

  6. B-2 egg muffins with green onion, tomato and sausage
    L-chicken breast with a little bbq sauce, 5 carrots, 1 banana
    D-stuffed prawn, sea bass, baby spinach, green beans, sweet potato fries and a cupcake. (Big no no)

    Drinks: 5 bottles water, 1/2 a mojito

    b-coffee with cream and sugar. Banana and a muscle milk.
    L-grilled chicken sandwich
    D-ribeye steak with grill potatoes and rice pilaf with the two mojitos
    Drinks was water and one hot chocolate for the day

    L-big salad of romaine, eggs, bacon, avocado, black olives, tomatoes, jalepeno vinegarette, chicken
    D-8 oz corned beef, lots of steamed cabbage
    92 oz of water throughout the day

    D-spicey Elk (used extra lean beef) Chili, bell peppers, zuchinni, tomatoes, onions. almond milk, this was a YUMMY recipe!!! water

    D - Ft long subway sandwich, oven roasted chicken, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, cheese, cookie

    L - Salad: spring mix, spinach, 3 eggs, 2 pieces bacon, 6 oz chicken, broc, cauli, bell peppers, onions, jalapenos, olive oil dressing. unsweet tea

    D - Venison sausage and sauteed onions

    S/L (not very hungry today) 10 pecan halves, 10 hazelnuts and a bananna
    D-Homemade fajita salad-bed of fresh greens w/sauteed onions, green bell pepper, 6 oz. mixed chicken & beef fajita meat, fresh pico, fresh salsa, 1/2 avocado
